Bloomsbury is one of London’s great intellectual and academic centres. Home to world-renowned institutions such as University College London (UCL), SOAS University of London, and the British Museum, the district has long been associated with scholarship, learning, and the exchange of ideas.
For generations, Bloomsbury has attracted writers, scholars, and students from around the world, creating a vibrant international academic community.
Both founders of The Bloomsbury Study Group lived and studied in Bloomsbury during their time in London.
